Have you done anything out of the box lately to grow your business? Something like warm leads, stepping out of your comfort zone and reaching out to old clients? Or trying new technologies like Vlogging? In this economy, we need to create our own opening and always be ready to grasp opportunities with both hands as and when they arrive.

In this write-up, we will share some top ways to promote your DJ business.

Here is our list of 7 things that you can do in your spare time to attract more clients and establish yourself as a thought leader.

1- Use Weekends Wisely

This is basic but very important. Whenever you’re off, make sure that you are utilizing your time efficiently. What you could do is clean your email inbox, find out who is reading your emails and who is not. What can you do differently when reaching out to people? Meet fans, friends and plan out the coming week.

2- Solve Problems

If you have been at a seminar and thought that you could do this too then you can be a thought leader. Just be more active on blogs and forums with your comments and solution and then offer them a link to your website. Remember, the trick is not to sound too sales’y here.

3- Reward Existing Customers

Making new customers is important but what’s even more important is holding on to the existing ones. Send birthday or holiday cards to existing clients, send an occasional formal greeting to keep your presence alive. If you have corporate or long-term clients, make sure to reward them with special offers through email or phone.

4- Referral Discounts

Encourage your existing customers to refer new ones. You can announce an incentive for each referral. If done the right way, this works like a charm for some DJ businesses.

5- Make Your Website Sing

Google gods like updated, fresh content. If you haven’t updated or posted anything new on your website in 6 months, now is the time to revamp it! Keeping an active blog on your website is one way of doing it. You can also change the entire content of your website every 6 months but that is going to take some time. We recommend blogging since it has various other benefits too.

6- Online Community

Everything is online these days – from recipes to books, sports news to entertainment, people go online for their share of information. Keeping your online presence is essential. Participate as much as you can in online forums and social media. Interact with other players, clients, and thought leaders online. You will be surprised how effective this exercise can be in building a strong brand image.

7- Competitive Analysis

Learn from what your competitors are doing and try to implement that to your business. We are not talking about the exact copy paste thing here but learn the best practices, research a little as per your audience and implement.

This list is not an exhaustive one, we are sure you have many things to add. Feel free to add your comments below and let’s start a healthy debate!
